Operating Precautions and Maintenance of Magnetic Stirrers
1、Do not start the machine without heating the liquid.
2、Check if the magnetic stirrer is grounded before starting; operate only after completion.
3、To avoid damaging the machine, insulating materials are usually placed inside. Therefore, when using a multi-point magnetic stirrer, a little white smoke or a pungent odor may appear. These are normal phenomena and not product quality issues; simply ensure good ventilation.
4、The internal components of the magnetic stirrer have an upper limit for heating; this must be considered when heating. Remember not to overheat the machine; keep the motor rotating to protect the magnetic stirrer to the greatest extent possible.
5、After heating, be sure to turn off the heating function and wait a few minutes for it to cool down before turning off the stirring function.
6、Ensure a dry operating environment for the multi-point magnetic stirrer. In humid environments, the equipment is prone to electrical leakage; therefore, grounding is necessary. If moisture is detected on the machine before use, be sure to dry it with hot air.
7、Be careful not to get burned during operation, as the temperature is generally very high.
8、For safety reasons, a fuse is installed on the back of the machine. When the equipment is powered on but not working, check if it needs to be replaced.
When using a magnetic stirrer, correct use and maintenance will extend the lifespan of the laboratory equipment, allowing it to work better and saving costs.
