Twin-screw drying mixers are commonly used concrete mixing equipment in mixing stations. The mixer's work is quite heavy, the concrete mixing process is complex, and the equipment suffers significant wear and tear. Therefore, in addition to selecting a good twin-screw drying mixer, it is also important to be familiar with its operation. This will allow for better use of the concrete mixer equipment. The following introduces the operating procedures and precautions for twin-screw drying mixers.

  I. Twin-Screw Drying Mixer

The twin-screw drying mixer is a twin-horizontal-shaft forced mixer. It can operate independently and has the dual advantages of being configured with a PLD concrete batching plant and a mobile mixing station. It can also serve as an auxiliary host for mixing plants. It is widely used in large and medium-sized prefabricated component factories for roads, bridges, water conservancy projects, and docks, as well as in industrial and civil construction projects. It can mix hard, highly plastic, and highly fluid lightweight aggregate concrete and various concrete mortars. It is a highly efficient piece of equipment with wide applications and is commonly used concrete production equipment at construction sites.

II. Operating Methods and Precautions for Twin-Screw Drying Mixers

  1. The mixer should be placed on a firm surface and securely supported by a stand or footings. Do not use tires as support.

  2. Before starting the mixer, check for damage to the equipment controller and components. There should be no foreign objects in the mixer drum.

  3. When the mixer's inlet hopper is raised, do not pass under or stay below the hopper. Do not secure the mixer hopper after work.

  4. Do not insert tools into the mixer while it is running.

  5. During on-site maintenance, the concrete mixer's hopper should be secured, and the power should be turned off. When entering the mixing drum for maintenance, someone should be present outside to assist.

III. Twin-Screw Drying Mixer Usage Process

Before using the mixer, a small amount of mortar should be used to rinse the cavity and clean the mortar to ensure that the cement mortar adhering to the tank walls is not lost during the formal concrete mixing process.

  2. Measure other concrete raw materials as needed and add stones, sand, and cement to the mixer.

  3. Start the mixer and mix the materials evenly. Add water slowly during mixing; the total supply time should not exceed 2 minutes.

  4. After adding water, continue mixing for about 2 minutes, then pour the mixture into an iron plate and manually mix for 1-2 minutes to ensure even mixing.

  5. After testing, please turn off the power and clean the equipment.

  Precautions:

The mixer is mainly used for mixing cement foam backfill soil and mortar with aggregate particle diameters within 285 mm. Mixing capacity: Foamed cement not exceeding 200L, total weight of mortar mixture. 3 kW motor not exceeding 120 kg, 4 kW motor not exceeding 170 kg.
